Minsky/mysterianism

    • He's anti- mysterian of course. In fact that's his primary characteristic I would say (I did say, in that Introduction to Inventive Minds ) – that explaining things was a great good, not a "reduction" to be fought.
    • So naturally I am trying to egg on a fight (in my own mind only) between him and WS, who are definitionally pro-mysterian. They have their reasons for that, which I could not argue them out of even if I wanted to.
    • Trying to reconcile them but maybe I can't, the gulf is too great, I need to pick a side.
