Childhood influence . I went here very frequently as a yong child and something about it is burned into the foundations of my brain – the universe should be clear, fun, surprising, and interactive. And, I guess, sponsored by corporations.
This would have been early to mid 60s and there was no computer exhibits per se, but IBM did have a small and beautiful exhibit called Mathematica (designed by Charles and Ray Eames) that was quite memorable. Also AT&T had a large sprawling exhibit on telecommunications.
