Conway's Law

- Conway's Law basically states that modularity of any designed systems will mirror the modularity of the organization doing the designing.
- This is almost trivally, obviously true, but also deeply profound. Seems like something that should be front and center in protocol studies.
- The Bezos API Mandate: Amazon's Manifesto For Externalization is kind of a weaponized version of this law. According to legend, Jeff Bezos forced his teams to be small and communicate through APIs that could be exposed to the public, leading to AWS and the cloud.
