- Apps and programming: two accidental tyrannies
- Software was supposed to be constructivist
- But we have two barriers: apps, and programming languages
- Coding agents: "All in all, I mostly see non-programmers using agents to create glue code and one-off tools, mostly at the periphery of their real work."
- Compare filmmaking or music software. Plugins allow some customization but not enough
- Ref webstrates-uncut.pdf, Potluck: Dynamic documents as personal software which I should know better.
- Oh Obsidian is the one exception, interesting
- Cool audio note-taking model, I should try that
- DIdn't quite get what his plugins do (let you have transcriptions, links to live docs, details were a little hard to grasp)
- The point is that composibility + code agents is a big win
- Codemirror is underlying platform archS
